| A show and competition for mans best friend. Events: Best Dressed/Costumed Dog, Best Dog Trick (2 tricks/contestant), Best Looking Dog, and the Frisbee Throw. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category.
To enter the Dog Show fill out an entry form at the Festival Information Booth or at the Dog Show area after 11:30 a.m.
Requirements: You can only enter a real Dog. The Dog must be on a leash.
Entry Fee: $5.00 per category, enter one or all four. "Atsa My Dawg!"  |  |
Mad Science Show - Spin, Pop, Boom, | 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday Community Park - CrawKid Stage |
| SPIN, POP, BOOM! How do you know that a chemical reaction has occurred? After this event your students should know. Beginning with a change of color in our chemically challenging “magic” trick we will then treat them to an assortment of chemical and physical changes: an amazing sound comes from our Flaming Didgeridoos, the flask family performs an artistic feat of color mixing, a genie erupts from a flask with the help of a catalyst, two liquids combine to form a solid in an exothermic reaction and finally a geyser of hot foam astounds the crowd. Mad Science is the world's leading provider of science-based enrichment activities that spark imaginative learning in children of all ages. This free hands-on exhibit will give kids the opportunity to become amateur scientists as they explore the exciting wonders of science.  |  |

| FIRE & ICE In the land of Fire and Ice our Mad Scientist starts with a magic trick that uses fire to make a card disappear and magically reappear. Fire is used again to get our overweight friend, Eggbert, into a tight spot. Eggbert introduces the concept of air pressure and leads us to the Amazing Bernoulli Effect that causes small and large balls to float in mid-air. Finally, in the ice portion of this event we will startle the students with amazing experiments using frozen carbon dioxide gas at 109°F below zero.
